Ayurvedic Treatment for PCOS: Correcting the Cause, Not Just the Cycle

Why cycles stop being regular
In Ayurvedic terms, PCOS is most often a disorder of Kapha and Medo Dhatu obstructing the movement of Vata in the reproductive channels, with a variable Pitta component. Practically, this shows up as weight gain, insulin resistance, sluggish digestion and delayed ovulation.
But not every patient fits that picture. Lean PCOS with high stress and irregular sleep is a Vata-Pitta pattern and needs a very different plan. This is why identical prescriptions for every PCOS patient rarely work.
How treatment is structured
A typical plan at Vishwaprabha has four parallel tracks.
What results are realistic
Most patients see cycle length shortening and becoming predictable within three to four months of consistent treatment. Acne, hair fall and mood usually improve earlier. Weight responds in parallel with insulin sensitivity rather than through crash dieting.
For patients trying to conceive, ovulation tracking is added and treatment is coordinated with your gynaecologist where fertility interventions are already planned.
The part that decides the outcome
Sleeping by 11 pm, eating your main meal at midday, and 30 minutes of daily movement change insulin sensitivity more than any single herb. Ayurvedic medicines work considerably faster when these three are in place.
