About Virechana
Virechana is medicated purgation, the definitive Panchkarma procedure for Pitta disorders. Herbal preparations such as Trivrit, Avipattikar or castor-based formulations are used to eliminate accumulated Pitta and Ama through the intestinal route.
It is preceded by internal oleation and Swedana, and is the procedure of choice in acidity, chronic skin disease, jaundice, migraine of Pitta origin, hyperacidity, PCOS, and inflammatory joint conditions.
Because the dose and drug are matched to your Koshtha (bowel tendency) and strength, Virechana is comfortable and controlled — not a laxative purge.
