About Netra Tarpana
Netra Tarpana bathes the eyes in warm medicated ghee held within rings of dough built around the orbits. The ghee — most often Triphala ghrita — nourishes the ocular surface and the delicate structures around it.
It is a genuinely restorative therapy for the modern eye: hours of screen exposure, dryness, burning, watering, heaviness and eye strain all respond well.
It is also used supportively in computer vision syndrome, early cataract, glaucoma care under supervision, and chronic dry eye syndrome.
Procedure
- 01
Face preparation
Gentle facial and forehead massage relaxes the periorbital muscles.

Warm medicated ghee is poured in until the eyelashes are submerged.
- 04

You open and blink gently at intervals so the ghee reaches the whole surface.
- 05
Removal & rest
